Nice to meet you! ︎︎
My name is Bren (she/they), I’m a trans disabled queer gamer with a passion for design. I’ve been playing games ever since I could pick up a controller, and have spent my life working towards working on one. I’ve been working in the games industry since 2017 doing everything under the Graphic Design umbrella. From vector work, icons, branding, web design, marketing, etc.
Most recently, I worked with Riot Games as a Visual Designer for their merch team. It was both a pleasure and challenge to work with the various IPs under Riot. It was a privilege to be able to design pieces of Apparel and Merch that made it into the production line, after being such a long time fan of games and dreaming of making my own merch.
Currently, I’m looking for positions that let me express my creativity on a game team. I’m specifically looking for roles specializing in Icon Design and Graphic Design needed for in game assets. However, I’m always open to chat about a position in the Industry. Hope to hear from you soon!
More About My Background ︎︎︎
More about my background:
I started out as a video editor and designer for my college creating projects for events on campus. I was also a member of the Aurora Game Dev Club, looking for anyway to educate myself and connect with others in the Games Industry. After meeting many friendly faces at SiegeCon, I designed a flyer for a Smite Tournament Charity Event that Hirez was hosting. I worked my way into esports at Hirez Studios and helped build out their marketing through logos, jerseys and social media. Afterwards, I joined Scuf Gaming to help grow their presence in the Gaming peripherals scene. I worked alongside great people like John Teter and Amy Clark to develop creative campaigns for each controller launch. As well as projects like the ‘Be Gaming’ campaign that celebrated the diversity we see in gaming. I had the honor to design some special edition controllers for the legend SonicFox too!
More about me:
Games have always played an important role in my life, and arcade machines drew me to games instantly. The giant art plastered on the side, the loud cruncy sound effects, and mashing buttons. What’s not to love? I remember playing my first game of Galaga like it was yesterday. Something about its simplicity and fun was addicting. The romantic dancing lights of the arcade have felt like home since.
From then on I played consoles and handhelds any time I had the chance to. One of the first games I got was Pokemon Fire Red, which introduced me to monster capture games. In my teen years I met people in the fighting game scene, and started playing a ton of MK9. Being
Games are such a special and wild creative medium, I just can’t see myself doing anything else. There’s nothing else that means as much to me. Whatever way I can find myself working on games, that’s where I’ll be. At the end of the day I just want to make quality work, have a fun time when I can, and be surrounded by kind people.
Nowadays, I love turn based strategy and fighting games the most. Games like Baldur’s Gate 3, Street Fighter 6.
So anyways... when are we getting another Bloody Roar??
