Mooshi is a brand centered around providing a sustainable food source to local families through the process of mycology. Through home grown mushroom kits, customers can learn about what it takes to care for and cook their own mushrooms to add to meals or eat on their own. The owner of the company is a local scientist from Atlanta that aims to aid in food security for surrounding communities in the area.
Initially I was brought on board to provide mascot ideas for the brand, which then turned into developing a logo and the visual direction of the brand as well. With the direction of the brand,
I had characters in mind when first pitching them to the owner of the company. Given how popular blind boxes, keychains, and little tchotchkes are nowadays, I thought that the mascots would be a great entry point to someone unfamiliar with mycology. I believe that having the brand feel approachable and welcoming provides a warmer environment for learning.
This project is ongoing and a work in progress.
